Newborn Session Prep

Miss Arrazola provided me with one of the cutest, most simple newborn sessions I've ever done. No need to make more stress for Mom, these simple tips will help get you prepped for your sweet angel's 1st pics.

  • When to schedule? 5 to 15days after birth is a great timeframe. Babies are still recovering from delivery during this time which means they are still rather sleepy after all that hard work, making pics much easier to take.
  • What to bring? Keep it simple. You want more attention drawn to your beautiful being not frilly clothes (those can come later girl Mommas). I recommend swaddles or diaper covers instead! Do bring EXTRA! Plenty of diapers and a couple of outfit changes (if you opt for outfits) just in case of an accidental blowout or that wonderful spit up we all love. Of course accesories are fine i.e. bow changes. SKIP THE SHOES! Baby toes are so cute, let's highlight them instead!
  • And last, but not least, anything sentimental to you or your family can be incorporated into a shoot. I provide alot of props, but if there is something specifically special that you would like to use please let me know in advance so we can plan accordingly. A great example here would be a police officer parent wanting to incorporate a hat or badge. These would be great gift pics as well for Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas, etc.
